Genuine question Tim (may make a good episode or Fr Chad question?) but im open to answers from anyone. A relative of mine is a Catholic widow, lost her husband after a 12 year battle with brain cancer. She has two sons, no interest to remarry mainly because another man could not replace the childrens father. After watching "what a woman is" she has no idea how to have a patriarchal home for the sake of her two boys? How does patriarchy work for a Trad Catholic Mother who through no fault of their own, find themselves with children to raise and no husband? Protection against spiritual attacks? Having to work? Is it just supposed to be a matriarch taking on the patriarchal role to the best of her ability? Is it more ideal to remarry in such a case to avoid taking on any role dysphoria?
