With you going over a brief history of all the popes I was looking at more videos and debates over the papacy with the EO crowd, and I’m wondering why haven’t the EO elected their own rival pope when they accepted popes being necessary for the first 1000 or so years? Being schismatics they already are lost, but they saw the need for a single unified figure on earth in the pope before, why not now?
