Hi everyone,
As we mentioned last night during our show, when announcing that our eighth child was likely born with Down syndrome, she also has a high bilirubin level (all of our kids have gone through this and like clockwork here we are!).
It’s incredible how God provides.
A fan (and now a new friend) just drove 45 minutes in the rain to bring us a bilirubin bed for Adelaide—a real hero for our family, ensuring we don’t need to return to the hospital. I don’t say it often enough, but I’m truly grateful for the incredible people I meet through what I do.
Also, our good friend Dr. Cudihy and his OB partner did an amazing job on Steph’s seventh C-section. She’s been telling everyone that this recovery has been the easiest of all. It’s especially good timing to have such a smooth recovery, given how much we’ve been traveling to doctor’s appointments, etc. Dr. Cudihy has been on my show before and is a hero in the pro-life OBGYN community. Please keep him and his family in your prayers for the work he does.
We’re just feeling very blessed and totally at peace with everything, and we wanted to thank you all for your prayers and support.
Everyone is asking us how we're doing emotionally with everything and all I can say is really well. Our household has been high-spirited and joyful ever since we brought Adelaide home. We wish you all could meet her—she’s already the center of our world and a total joy for all of us. The shock of her diagnosis has really melted away into gratitude for her introduction into our lives! The other seven kids can’t stay away from her (Steph keeps telling them she needs a few feet of space to breathe, lol).
God gave us many fruits with the birth of Abby, and we wait with gratitude for the fruits He has in store for us with Adelaide--out two "bookend" girls are truly a gift from God!
Deus Vult!
Tim

We appreciate your prayers for little Adelaide Bede's birth. We learned 20 minutes after she was born that she likely has Down Syndrome and has a typical DS hole in the heart, but she has great health otherwise and this is extremely manageable. Just wanted to let you know.
Thanks for your past and please, continued, prayers,
Tim and Steph
