I'm a small business owner and was wondering if hiring a video editor in the Philippines at a substantially lower "dollar amount" wage (but a high wage relative to their country to provide them a high-quality life) is permissible?

Any change if this is a temporary hire until I can afford more localized employees, and it's made clear to the original hire from the start?

Asked AI and it seemed pretty adamant that Catholic Social Teaching affirms this is okay, but when I pressed it, it wasn't so sure...
